I am struggling with Isaiah, going back and forth, between prophecies that will happen soon to prophecies that will not happen until the new millennial kingdom occurs and that is okay. I feel like I am listening to a story told by a 5 year that does not have the concept of linear time down yet, combining what happened last week with what happened yesterday and a little dash of what they are looking forward to tomorrow. We are not meant to understand everything that happens or even all of what is contained in the scripture and that is okay.
I think I would like to go through after I finish reading and accumulate all of the random facts, that no one really seems to mention very often, like the fact that God told Isaiah to walk around naked and barefoot for 3 years to represent what was going to happen to Egypt and Cush. God asks some wacky things of His people at times.
I was reminded that the Lord sits waiting for us to join Him, to extend His mercy and grace to us. How amazing is that?! We will also be blessed if we are found to be waiting on Him, listening for Him, walking in the Law. He sits and waits out of love, patiently for us.

Help me to remember:
that You are waiting on me and everyone else.
Lord, I ask that . . .
I have a heart to wait for You.
Heavenly Father, I am thankful for . . .
the knowledge that it is okay to not understand Your Word.
